ELEGANT EASTERN EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN CROSS, 17th-18th CENTURY

Ukraine/Russia. Silvered bronze, just over 1 5/8” (1.65”) in height. Fine form with cross beam above center and the beams flared to the ends. The front with raised borders and a vacant skeletal cross with a vignette at the beam terminals. The reverse with an angelic figure on Cyrillic text infill. The surface is lightly textured from burial with details intact. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on an 18” modern gilt Sterling silver 18” neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift box with Certificate of Authenticity.
