Byzantine with distinct Roman influence. Large, about size 9 with round section narrow band and raised oval bezel with a complexly modeled inset having the appearance of iron, but nonmagnetic. The ring in as-found excavated condition, degraded and encrusted throughout. Intriguing archaeological example.
