ANCIENT VIKING WEDDING RING, SIZE 10 3/4

Late 9th-early 11th century AD. Good wearable size 10 3/4. Broad face, 6.7mm width, with three incised bands flanked by four rounded bands, resulting in a seven band motif. Sized in its working life. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
