The guard with oval escutcheon with the owner's initials. 30” d.e. blade marked N S Meyer New York, (1875-1992) and GERMANY (1892 on). Peterson identifies this pattern as 1922 and before dating this example 1892-1922. Brass mounted plated scabbard. Just storage aging with good patina. Blade excellent.
