Inspired by the Spanish American War which resulted in American control over Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam, and The Philippines, it served in the 1910-19 border Wars with Mexico during which the US was invaded by Pancho Villa and his forces. 35 ¼” blade marked A S Co flaming bomb 1906 with US JHC to the reverse. The surface blue fading to brown. Wire wrapped leather covered grip complete with a few tiny blemishes. Excellent for the period.
