CONFEDERATE COIN BUTTON GETTYSBURG

Over 1” (1.07”) diameter, brass, originally plated. Central floral motif with broad hand engraved scalloped border. A civilian button used on a hand sewn officers coat. Purchased at a “relic shack” outside the Gettysburg battlefield in the late 1960’s. the back loop broken accounting for its loss in battle. The preserved result of a face to face fight on the Gettysburg battlefield.
