(Note that the only known picture of Shaka shows him standing with a throwing assegai mounted with the modified large head.) 58 1/2" total length. Stepped cane haft tapered toward the butt with characteristic shrunk hide socket (sound and complete) Forged iron head with small leaf shaped, offset section point. Shows fine rich patina with lightly encrustated verigated haft. head shows brown patina with uniform light pitting. An extremely rare early example from our own collection.
