WORLD WAR I TRENCH ART RING, SIZE 10

Found by metal detector around 2000 at Ypres (Belgium) scene of some of the most intense fighting with English and French bringing the German advance to a stalemate. Made of aluminum salvaged from ordnance. Size slightly under 10, nicely fashioned with a square bezel flanked by ovals.  Gray surface oxidation. Probably made for his sweetheart but never made it out of the trenches.
