Found by metal detector around 2000 at Ypres (Belgium) scene of some of the most intense fighting with English and French bringing the German advance to a stalemate. Made of aluminum salvaged from ordnance. Size 9, flat face 4mm band hand chiseled or engraved with line borders flanking a continuous chevron band. Light gray surface oxidation but crisp throughout.
