C.1870-80s. Produced in New England where numerous small factories met the demand without marking their products as did Russell, the best known producer. Three piece, with fine steel 6 1/4”. Wood scale grips secured with six rivets. The grips with shrinkage from age in a dry climate. The blade with minimal sharpening suggesting that this example was traded to Indians. Exact type preserved with the finely beaded scabbards so highly prized.
