Coarse wool (?) with spirally wound tubular bronze segments woven in to provide a measure of early armored protection. Very rare-just a handful of such fragments recently came to market, found along the Baltic coast. Genuine, and of now, unresearched or published. Tattered but sound. 2 1/4" length.
