Danelaw England. Forged iron, just over 3 3/4" length with a leaf shaped point, slightly ridged one side and flat the other. Tapered tang for securing to the shaft. Sound excavated condition. A flesh-cutting arrow is used for raiding where adversaries are caught without the protection of thick or reinforced garments.
