Fine large example in good preservation. Likely wrapped in cloth for burial which limited atmospheric contact. 8 1/2" in length with a 6 3/8" blade of characteristic down curved clipped point form. Tapered "whittle tang" originally set into a bone, antler, or wood grip. Excavated with considerable original surface preserved intact. This is the classic fighting knife used in hand-to-hand fighting for throat slashing.
