10th-11th century. Good form and exceptional preservation with considerable original surface to the blade. 5 1/2" length with blade of characteristic down curved point form. Tapered "whittle tang" originally set into a bone, antler or wood grip. This is the classic fighting knife used in hand to hand fighting for throat slashing.
