9th-10 century. Good large example in good preservation. 8 1/8" length with 6 1/8" blade of characteristic down curved clipped point form. Tapered "whittle tang" originally set into a bone, antler or wood grip. This is the classic fighting knife used in hand to hand fighting for throat slashing.
