Ribbed spherical form, somewhat irregular as made with large stringing hole. Just about 1”diameter. Surface worn from burial. Vikings valued beads over gold and have been known to take beads as ransom or tribute to call off raids. Beads of this type have been found at the cemetery at Smorrenge in Bornholm, Denmark. Wonderful Viking relic and a fine center piece for a modern jewelry creation.
