89” length, with white metal (zinc?) heads well crafted in the style of about 1700 or slightly earlier, with crescent axe blades, opposing curved back flukes and surmounted by broad spear points. Type used in Europe and Colonial America during the Pilgrim Era. See American Polearms, pl.22 and Neumann, #34A. Wood hafts with slightly congealed brown finish. Probably ceremonial/processional as theatrical examples would be less substantial. Excellent display, crossed or standing and genuine early examples.
