Standard pattern (Peterson #138). Good quality example, probably WWII, with well-detailed hilt retaining virtually 100% heavy gold surface. Wire wrapped simulated sharkskin grip, excellent. 29 3/4” blade decorated with Naval and patriotic motifs in foliage with officer’s name to the forte. The ricasso marked MADE USA. Blade near mint. Original scabbard with fine gilt mounts lacks the leather covering.
