Brass hilt with remnants of its heavy gold overlay. 28 7/8” s.e. blade decorated 2/3 its length with naval and patriotic motifs, with retailer’s name, W S Mancke & Co San Francisco Cal on the ricasso. That seller evidently provided the Naval Officer’s swords only. Blade crisp and bright. Brass mounted black leather scabbard excellent. May well have served the Great White Fleet.
