Leather, of fantastic form suspended from bronze top mount decorated in very high relief with Buddhist Dragon among clouds and deity face. The front with base silver edge decorated in scrolling turbulent clouds within beaded borders. Central panel surrounding three high relief mounts for red and green natural stones. The back with similar decoration of a less elaborate form. The edge with lattice paneled brass covering. Original belt suspension mounted with a series of tinned domed bosses. Condition characteristic for early Tibetan items, the leather somewhat distorted, worn and soiled. No damage. Made to contain, flint and steel.
