The 28” blade marked THE HENDERSON AMES CO. KALAMAZOO MICH. dating it 1899-1933 after which the company was sold. It is decorated with crusades scene, foliage, arms, a crusader, and the owner’s name and is virtually as made. The silver hilt is modeled in particularly high relief as reserved for presentation swords with light wear to the high points. The silver scabbard mounts as well, retain nearly all finish with nicely toned high points. The scabbard body is silvered overall. One negligible dent to the back. The grip is amber composition, possible Bakelite. Of finest quality when made and preserved in wonderful lightly handled condition. Nothing short of stunning!
