26 3/4" length. Heavy tubular brass haft, probably cloth covered originally, with fine deep patina. The butt with cast bronze leopard head. Tiger head opposite with opened mouth from which the blade, shaped as an elephant's head, projects. Blade decorated each aide with figures of nobles, at least one of which is an optical illusion. The figure stands with one arm outstretched. His torso and arms viewed separately are a gazelle like animal. That animal is well represented in arms decoration, often being attacked by a tiger.
