Second half of the 19th century. Early form with hilt made in two large pieces of black horn with brass and iron elements. 9" asymmetrical blade with low medial ridge decorated with a cluster of dots each side. Hide scabbard, slightly warped, with fine leather stitch decoration, retains its shoulder belt and buckle, just the tongue end lacking. Exceptional early example.
