Black palm wood, 82" length. One piece finely made with five ring expansion above the broadly flared butt. Tapered conical point above a large swell. That feature kept an impaled animal or human adversary at distance. Would date C.1750-1850. The Solomon Islands were among the earliest Pacific islands contacted, first by the Spanish, and by 1850, had resident missionaries.
