Showing distinct characteristics of both cultures. Good quality 6 1/8" hollow faced down curved blade with inlaid silver line along the back. Tapered grip, wrapped in cord in the Chinese taste, with pewter disk terminal. Two piece scabbard secured with braided split rattan band, mostly intact (very dark patina). Blade quite smooth with a little pitting toward the point. Hilt very good and complete. Evidently a Chinese dagger, dating about 1800, used in South East Asia where it was provided with a scabbard.
