1/4” cubical, bone with hand drilled pips, colored with India ink. Classic New England cottage industry product with slight irregularities from handwork, but no intentional distortion (as would affect the roll). These were very popular with colonist soldiers as they provided hours of entertainment and probably many the loss of a pay packet while adding virtually no weight to the backpack. See Neumann p.129 #11 for an identical pair at Fort Louisbourg. Pair.
