5 ¾” length, forged steel (presumably carbonized as needed for its task) of intricate form with thick rounded spatulate blade. The tip pierced for a tensioning thong. Opposite, a squared baluster below the loop which is secured to a bronze hinge and suspension loop. Used to sharpen swords, knives and agricultural tools.
