Forged iron, 3 7/8” length. The top is a tapered, rectangular section with expanded striking face and  one side indented. Elongated pyramidal form spike. Used to straighten sword and axe blades, damaged in battle. The spike was driven into a log or tree and the blade edge hammered against the top.
