Companion to the fine miquelet rifles serving as patch knife as well as a dagger. 4 3/4" slightly down curved s.e. blade with deep forged fullers and crisp maker's mark to the left. Fine faceted bolster with roped socket. One piece ivory grip with bands of concentric circles. The pommel with inlaid sun burst motif. Stitched edge seam hide covered scabbard with original iron bodkin or vent pick in the right side (head lacking and the pin only remining). Blade smooth with light tool finish and a few small patches of black oxidation as expected. Bolster excellent. Grip with some age checks and very tiny chips. Scabbard excellent for the period.
