Original hand scribed identification accompanying eleven excavated pottery fragments from at least three vessels. Largest, a nicely crenelated edge from a jar, about 4 1/2". Average about 2" - 2 1/2". Period of the Germanic challenges to the Roman Empire which eventually resulted in their population of Medieval Europe. Untouched with soil adhesion, removal of which possibly will reveal interesting detail. Eleven pieces.
