The silver virtually intact throughout. The peacock is the symbol of the Persian Monarchy, stemming from the capture of the Peacock Throne of Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal. The throne was taken during the sack of Delhi in 1739 and its peacock theme embraced by the Persian monarchy.
