Ex: Ruben Rubens collection sold in London about 1990. 21 3/8" d.e. blade with thick medial ridge, well forged with the medial and edges bright and the field with original black forged scale. Conical grip with expanded pommel. Two piece wood scabbard with integral belt lug, secured with six woven split cane bands, completely intact. Small chips, worn over from use to the wood. Good age patina throughout and in rare untouched condition. Used in village raids where captures were made both in huts and outside, requiring a weapon suitable for both close in and open field fighting.
