Late 18th century. 32" curved blade with narrow back fuller. The forte with a panel of calligraphy each side, perhaps cabalistic. A chiseled flower on cabled stem ahead. Iron cross guard with central calligraphy panel each side surrounded by scrolling foliage. Two piece horn grips. The tang band with worn gold foliage decoration. Blade smooth and crisp with gray patina. Eminently suitable for the Turkish backslash cavalry strike.
