Late 18th century. One piece walnut stock inlaid with fretted bone diamonds. Banded steel butt plate. Large miquelet lock. 13 3/8” tapered .70 bore barrel. The breech with high relief foliate decor and three maker’s marks as prancing horses. Sighting top flat and blade front sight with simple oval border. Hair line crack to the butt, the wood exceptionally well preserved otherwise. A little wear throughout. Large impressive example.
