Blade with uniform light pitting under chocolate patina. Hilt complete and about excellent. Hussars evolved from earlier Hungarian cavalry who, in turn, were heavily influenced by Turkish horsemen. They abandoned armor for increased mobility relying on speed and skill as horsemen to perform specialty maneuvers such as overrunning fortifications and gun emplacements as well as hit and run raids on enemies in formation.
