Ottoman era. Good old example with 17 3/8” deeply curved wedge section blade with profuse chiseled decoration in abstracted motifs, crisp and quite bright with original light tool finish. Scroll tipped recurved brass guard. Wood hilt and scabbard with panels of chip-carved matrices. Brass wire work to the hilt. A brass band and base ferrule to the grip. The scabbard slightly shrunk from age. Fine uniform aging to the hilt and scabbard. Blade bright.
