Good example of one of the most sought after of all swords. Standard pattern with 33 1/2" curved broad fullered blade marked WOOLEY (weak at the end), famed maker James Wooley, 1785-99 succeeded by Wooley & Deakin in 1800. Iron hilt. Leather covered grip excellent for the period. Has seen service with some shallow edge nicks. Smooth gray brown patina to hilt and blade. Scattered pitting marks to the last 6" of the blade tip only. Grip complete and about excellent. Very rarely available.
