Tapered slightly curved grip with ball terminal and bun shaped base. Entirely sheathed in plated or alloy, intricately embossed in panels of stylized foliage. The scabbard identically sheathed, with bun form throat, oval trip mount and seven intermediary segments. 24 7/8" slightly curved s.e. blade with narrow back fuller,. Both sides with copper bordered central panel silver overlaid in spiritual script, figures at court, elephant, tiger and foliage. Excellent throughout. The blade with original preservative. Sheathing shows some green surface corrosion at the grip base/scabbard throat. No dents or damage. Probably dates late 19th century. 40 1/4" total length. Very showy.
