Charming. 19th century example. The dagger with hand forged tool finished wedge section blade of about 3" length with clipped point and natural grip made of reindeer antler. The "scabbard" comprising a large four point reindeer antler rack with scrimshawed motif of two geometric bordered panels, each with a central running reindeer. The upper scabbard, with hand stitched reindeer leather sleeve shrunk over locking lugs. Leather dry with a little crazing. The antler with mottled dark patina. Blade bright with original tool finish. Lapps are the indigenous people of the northern regions of Sweden and Finland.
