Large, 18th century example with bulbous grip silver hilt embossed and engraved with flower splays in scalloped arches. Inverted boat shaped guard with reeded edge. 17 1/8” blade of characteristic form, straight wedge section to the midpoint and d.e. spear point to the tip. Mechanical Damascus steel with broad wavy pattern and lighter linear texture, few dark spots but about excellent. Hilt with good patina and crisp detail. The guard dented both ends. Large early example.
