Edo period, C.1800. 38" length with fine cane shaft, wood nock with fine silk binding flanking the fletch area. The fletching of white wood duck primarily wing feather, back fletches. Each naturally shaped with swelled forward and recurved edge. Thick diamond section sparrow beak (Stone fig. 861 #38) form point. A little ruffling and minor losses to the fletching, but generally excellent. Rare form.
