Iron with 5 5/8" tapered blade. The rectangular section forte struck with a maker's mark. Spirally fluted pommel and matching quillon terminals. Spirally fluted brown horn grip shows minor old flakes/chips and deep patina. Metal dark with scattered oxidation. The stiletto was considered a scoundrel's weapon used for clandestine attacks and assassinations. It was despised by gentile people as a criminal's weapon.
