18th/early 19th century. Domed form, 13 3/4" diameter. The outer one inch of double thickness and mounted with a separate rounded section edge. Four scalloped base domed bosses. Decorated throughout with silver koftgari in elegant arabesque form panels and bands of stylized geometry. The bases of the bosses completely overlaid in silver. The central panels and four panels toward the edge with central gold stars. The decoration very uniformly preserved, just very slightly faded throughout. Rarely encountered on today's market.
