Exceptional old example from a well-known group. 26 5/8" length with turnip form butt, tubular haft with pyramidal armor piercing terminal and deep crescent form blade on rectangular bolster. The blade, bolster and socket with profuse silver koftgari overlay. The haft with additional band to the middle and above the butt. The socket of the point with spiral silver overlay as well. The silver about 100% intact and strong throughout. The bare iron showing genuine aging with soft patina and some original tool finish. Just about as well preserved an example of this type as we have encountered.
