17th-18th century. 67 1/2" length on its original can haft. Heavy iron head with elongated pyramidal point, the flats with fullers at the bast. Forged seam slightly tapered socket. Cane haft stained pink/brown. The lower half with thin parchment overlay with partial cloth overlay. Short bouillon segment near the base. Untouched. The head crisp and bright. Haft sound with mottled patina and scattered worm. While spear points of this type have survived in numbers, those on original hafts are very rare.
