Circa late 19th century, the period of the British Raj. Comprising a good iron hilt kard with 5 ¼” wedge section blade, probably watered steel, with remnants of original preservative. The hilt and blade base with silver koftgari decoration, completely intact. The kard is concealed within a larger dagger with 6 ¼” watered steel blade with conical armor piercing tip. The hilt and blade base with silver koftgari, completely intact. The grip with release button which opens the hinged pommel cap to reveal the concealed kard. From a small group which came to market during the 1980-84 disenfranchisement interval and the first we have seen in decades.
