Valley of Mexico, probably Teotihuacan, C.800 BC-800 AD. 3” length, leaf form, fully flaked both sides and of good full rounded section. Well worked with traces of soil adherence from burial. These heavy points were used both with a heavy bow for close range and mounted on a lance haft for direct impalement. The Valley of Mexico which includes modern Mexico City is surrounded by volcanic mountains, the issue of which formed the obsidian from which these weapons were produced.
