Left shoulder defense of seven articulated plates. 9 ¾” height, finely formed with perfectly matching overlaps to prevent penetration between the plates Central plate with two articulated upper plates. Four plate upper arm defense, articulated with three rows of rivets. The front row fixed through and pivoting only. The center row leathered to allow some movement and the back row with sliding rivets for maximum movement. So each plate is fixed on one end and allowed some movement on the other. The bottom plate keyed for attachment of the upper canon. The principle edges finely rolled and roped. Original top buckle for the gorget strap. Crisp with frosty gray patina.
