Gilt brass hilt with flattened form reeded edge boat shaped guard. Faceted knuckle bow and cross guard. Reeded olive form pommel. Silver wire wrapped grip, complete with a few wires shifted from shrinkage. Hilt retains considerable gold overlay, particularly to the inner guard. Historic example of the model sometimes referred to as the "back from Egypt" pattern.
