The classic fighting knife of the Vikings specifically used for throat slashing. This example epitomizes that form with its broad clipped point blade and tapered tang which was set into a bone, without a guard, secured by the folded tang end. The thickness is specifically intended for human flesh, 0.15" at the midpoint back, slightly over 1/8". A utility knife would be half again or more as thick. 7 3/4" total length in professionally conserved excavated condition with excellent profile.
